Product Care Guide
Our products are sustainable, but sadly, not indestructible.
Water-based inks are more eco-friendly than synthetic plastisol inks, but they’re also more sensitive and less durable. Likewise, organic cotton holds ink less tightly than chemically pre-treated cotton. That’s why proper aftercare is essential to keep your garment looking great.
To Preserve Prints
- Wash cold (30 °C or below) higher temperatures can loosen the ink’s grip on the cotton fibres
- Turn inside out before washing as this reduces abrasion to the printed surface
- Use a mild, eco detergent avoid bleach, harsh detergents, or fabric softeners.
- Air dry flat or on a hanger, skip the tumble dryer and avoid direct sunlight, which can break down natural pigments and accelerate fading
- Iron inside out on low heat never iron directly on the print
Garment Expectations
With proper care, your print should stay vibrant for 20–40 washes (about a year of regular wear) before noticeable fading begins.
Water-based inks age gracefully therefore soft fading or slight variations are part of the garment’s sustainable character.
These prints are biodegradable, non-toxic, and breathable but they’re also less heat-resistant than traditional plastisol prints. That’s not a flaw, it’s a trade-off for sustainability.
Natural Raw
Natural Raw is untreated, undyed cotton in its purest form, showcasing natural variations in shade and texture. These differences are intentional and reflect the authentic character of organic cotton.
Variations in colour occur naturally; regular detergents with brighteners can lighten the fabric.
Minimal processing preserves raw characteristics; surface pilling of the fabric is normal.
Each piece celebrates organic cotton’s unique look—subtle differences are part of its natural beauty and charm.
